Printing more Pomplamoose shirts

We’re excited to get our own work up and on some cotton and paper but first a little Pomplamoosing was in order.

Reflecting on our work

My camera broke in France & ever since I’ve been working hard opening a studio with a sweet little store front in Charlottesville, Va. I have a better sense of what kind of blog I can maintain while running a business and working two jobs. Simple is beautiful. Elements of style taught me that but I guess I had to let it sink in deeper.

Armed with a new phone and soon a fixed camera, I’ll be sharing photos with friends and family (and the odd Wordpress explorer).

Together Tristan and I run the environmentally focused graphic design company A Mystery In Common. Our studio is in Greenwood, Virginia right outside Charlottesville. I’m very lucky that my gracious hosts Christian et Annie have many friends in Le Perche who are artists. Yesterday we stopped by the ceramics studio of Pascale Charrier on our way home and took a look around her studio. It is a small, unassuming space filled with good energy and pottery of all sizes. [...]

Most people in France, especially in the smaller villages (and I know this might come as a complete shock to many of you) speak French. That is exactly why it was such a wonderful surprise to hear a man singing and playing guitar on the side of the street in English while I was shopping in [...]

Tucked away in La Madeleine-Bouvet there is a charming Formangerie called La Farme de l’Aritoire (Tél: 02.33 73 93 34). I met the hardworking couple, Annie et Christian, who runs the entire Formangerie together through my friends Laura and Kagey (or as they are more famously known “The Honey Dewdrops“). Several months ago Laura et Kagey received [...]

Grace’s Southern Buttermilk Biscuits

You can mix all the dry ingredients in advance and store them in a large ziplock bag in the fridge or freezer for easy morning biscuits without all the measuring. I’ve made this with powdered buttermilk, regular buttermilk, all purpose flour and Pamela’s gluten-free baking mix and it doesn’t affect the quality of the biscuits [...]
